QuickBooks 2017 Users – Understanding Intuit’s Sunset Policy

Here’s how Intuit's Sunset Policy works. If you are using QuickBooks Desktop 2017, access to Intuit add-on services will stop May 31, 2020. Affected software: Pro, Premier, Enterprise, Accountant Edition, or Mac.

What are add ons?
After May 31, 2020, you’ll no longer be able to access Online Banking or sign up for other QuickBooks Services such as Payroll, Payments, and Live Technical Support with your QuickBooks 2017.

If you don’t have any of these add ons, you can continue to use your software. However, you won’t be able to get live technical support from Intuit nor will you be able to subscribe to Intuit Payroll or Intuit Merchant Processing.

So what do you do next?
Contact Ellen@ootbtechnology.com. Out Of The Box Technology can assist with getting you a quote for new software as well as installation of the software on your computer or network.

If you are on an old version of QuickBooks, there’s a chance your computers may not have a compatible operating system for the 2020 version of QuickBooks. We can help with that, too.

Contact us today so we can get you situated before the May deadline.
