QuickBooks 2014 Users – Understanding Intuit’s Sunset Policy

Bye Bye 2014! Intuit's "Sunset" Policy

Here’s how it works. If you are using QuickBooks Desktop 2014, access to Intuit add-on services will stop May 31, 2017

Affected software: Pro, Premier, Enterprise, Accountant Edition, or Mac

What are add ons?

Intuit Payroll, Intuit Credit Card Purchasing, check processing, accountant copy transfer service, multicurrency/exchange rate, bill pay, Intuit Payment Network, online banking

If you don’t have any of these add ons, you can still continue to use your software. However, you won’t be able to get live technical support from Intuit nor will you be able to subscribe to Intuit Payroll or Intuit Merchant Processing.

Why does Intuit stop servicing older versions? The company calls it a balancing act.

We are committed to developing easy, straightforward financial tools that help you today and grow with you tomorrow. But it's a balancing act - making QuickBooks Desktop better and easier to use while still supporting older versions.

So what do you do next?

Contact Out Of The Box Technology can assist with getting you a quote for new software as well as installation of the software on your computer or network. If you are on an old version of QuickBooks, there’s a chance your computers may not have a compatible operating system for the 2017 version of QuickBooks. We can help with that.

Contact us today so we can get you situated before the May deadline.
