Meet Jen Stanbrough!
The Beverly Carter Foundation is thrilled to announce that its nomination of Jen Stanbrough as Director has been accepted.
Jen Stanbrough is a top producing real estate broker in the Des Moines, Iowa area where she lives with her husband, Jeff, & their two children. Growing up in a small town, Jen learned the joy of relationship-based sales from her father, Jerry. After graduating college, Jen began her real estate career originating mortgages. Her financing background provided a foundation when Jen transitioned to real estate sales in 2005. Since that time, she has served over 700 clients working every aspect of real estate representing seller, buyers, builders, new constructions, resales, first time home buyers to million dollar homes. She thrives on the diversity real estate provides. However, her passion in real estate is in truly helping others. Jen falls in love with her clients & builds long lasting relationships with them. She is known for great customer service, consistent communication, strong attention to detail, putting her client’s goals first, personal touches, skilled negotiations & going the extra mile to foster a win-win environment for all parties in the transaction.
Jen eagerly took on the additional challenge of serving as the managing broker for her office & mentoring a team of agents. Jen is dedicated to giving back to the real estate industry through her service to the Des Moines Area Association of Realtors as a member of Board of Directors, Standardized Forms Committee & Co-Chair of their Safety Committee
Jen’s passion for real estate safety ignited after experiencing the loss of a dear friend, Ashley Okland, who was killed while holding an open house on April 8, 2011. In the days, weeks, months & years since, Jen has tried to use her experience of this tragedy to develop a purpose in the absence of explanation. This has led to a mission of bringing awareness to real estate safety & to continue the conversation.
About the Beverly Carter Foundation
Since losing his mother, Beverly Carter, to a crime against a real estate agent, Carl Carter, Jr. founded the 501(c)(3) non-profit the Beverly Carter Foundation to serve one simple mission: to create a lasting, substantive, positive impact on safety that every agent needs - and deserves. Beyond speaking to thousands of agents across the country on the importance of agent safety, Carl is leading the foundation in establishing multiple, national-scale programs to address the current state of safety in the real estate industry. At the heart of the all safety programs developed and delivered by the Beverly Carter Foundation is a grounding in research around behavioral science, predator profiling, and “real world” tools to prevent and deter crime.
