Are You Ready for the New Medicare Cards?

Beginning April 1, 2018, CMS will begin mailing out the new Medicare cards that replace the current Social Security Number based health insurance card with 11-digit alpha numeric Medicare Beneficiary Identifier cards. It is recommended that internal testing with the practice management system is done before April of 2018 to ensure that the software can recognize the new Medicare Beneficiary Identifiers. Click here for an example card and flyer to put on display in your medical practice and click here for a fact sheet of the new Medicare cards.

If you have questions about the new Medicare cards, please contact Jaime Brabb at (843) 577-5843 or
