Vrakas Welcomed D.C. Everest High School to Our Firm!

Vrakas hosted an event this past month for the D.C. Everest High School accounting students.

Michael Hanke, an accounting teacher at D.C. Everest Senior High, was awarded a WICPA Educational Foundation Accounting Careers Awareness Grant for 2017.

We split the students into four groups that rotated to different stations - Tax, Audit, Business Valuations, and Small Business Accounting Services. One of our professionals was at each station giving the students an overview on that particular service area.

  • Tax Department: Scott Syrjala (Tax Manager)
  • Audit Department: Paul Rothering (Audit Manager)
  • Business Valuations: Paul Schoessow (Business Valuations Manager)
  • Small Business Accounting Services: Christina Binagi (Audit Principal)

Throughout the event, Vrakas was able to help give the students a better look into the public accounting field before the majority of them head off to college this coming fall.
